Interview with Toni Camacho
Author of book 1 – How to change your life with just one thought. book 2 – Multidimensional health
Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?
I was born and raised in Ensenada, Mexico. I currently live in San Diego, Ca.
If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?
It is a long story and I have so many reasons. To start with I came to the US searching for freedom… freedom as a woman to be able to succeed and to be able to be all that I could be regarding of my gender, freedom from a government that often interferes with your success. Freedom from a society based on the judgement of how you should live your life. I knew if I came to this country all I had to do was work hard and I could do anything I wanted. and I did. I also wanted to live in a country where I did not have to worry about having simple things on a daily basis like water or phone. or fear for my safety.
What made you decide to write and publish your first book?
I been a health and law of attraction counselor for many years now and I been told by many people that I should document my knowledge. My knowledge is not unique. However, it is diverse and broad. I have studied under many schools of thought and different mentors. Bringing all that information together is what makes me unique and gives me ac completely holistic approach that I called multidimensional health. My first book was co-author with Best-selling author and co-creator of the chicken soup for the soul empire Jack Canfield. I only wrote a small part but my second book is named multidimensional healing and it is a guide on restoring autoimmune disorders and any other chronic illness, it was created with the intention to provide a guide to empower people that are sick so they learn to heal themselves. Chronic illness are so prominent now a days with almost no solutions provided by conventional medicine, this guide provides a step by step process to learn how to heal and prevent all major illnesses. My third book, how to change you life with just one thought was done with the idea to help people learn that the mind is a main contributor not only to physical illnesses but also to the circumstances you are currently living, therefore empowering the reader to take back control of their life.
How would you describe your books to first time readers?
Full of information both from the scientific and natural perspective, they incorporate both east and west mind-body medicine. They are a compilation of many years of study and experience on my part. The suggestions in my books work and are highly effective if the person decides to live the lifestyle of teach. I live my life based on this information and i have used this information to teach hundreds of people and it has work for them too. I do teach a lifestyle based on habits of success. Habits is the key here, it requires dedication to get to a life of health and happiness.
Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?
My clients tend to be from upper-middle-class ages 35 and 60. However, lately, I do have a lot of followers that are younger from 25 and 34 that are starting to want to take my workshops and learn from me so they can become teachers or counselors of my work (train the trainer).
What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?
How my life experiences and how I overcome my issues along the way have had a huge influence on what I teach now.
If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?
You are the creator of your own reality. Make feeling good your priority always and everything will resolve itself.
How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?
I would like to reach millions but not necessarily with my books. It could be with my online programs and videos.
What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?
If this question is regarding creating the books? then nothing really, by the time I sat down to write these books, I was in a place in my life where my life is stable and simple, I have problems like everyone else, and some might say harder than the avg person, but I also have all these wonderful tools I teach that I used daily to improve my life when a challenge arises. If this question is not related to the creation of the books, then the first part of my life was difficult… I suffered from PTSD, a little bit of agoraphobia, adrenal fatigue, divorce, problems with teen son and other issues but all have made me what I am today.
What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
I do magnetic marketing based on Dan Kennedy’s work. I also market myself as a celebrity in my field and spend time with other celebrities in my field to boost trust with my followers. Hence the reason, i co-author the book with Jack Canfield and I’m a best-selling author.
What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
I write in a very factual matter and bring too much science to validate my work. This turns off certain audience.
When do you think you will write your next book?
I have the outline and I will start in 2020. I do not need a publisher nor marketing services.
Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?
Self-published with BalboaPress.
