What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

My first book – Enhance Your Chance (R): A guide to making a positive impression was written to help high school students understand the important elements for making a positive first and lasting impression.

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

Subsequent books include:
* Enhance Your Chance (R): A guide to maximizing your possibilities was written to help college students understand the important elements for making a positive first and lasting impression as they embark on the job search and enter the workplace.
* How to Communicate with Confidence, Clarity and Credibility helps individuals to increase awareness to the importance of non-verbal messaging, vocal delivery, and words so that they can represent themselves the way they envision.
*The Communication Habit: Strategies That Set You Apart and Leave a Lasting Impression highlights the subtle nuances of communication and 7 key themes of effective communication.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

Communication is the foundation of productivity, profitability, perception, and presence. Everyone across industry, gender, rank, position, geography, and age can benefit.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

That capturing the dynamism and energy that I bring to live sessions while also editing the book to be clear and concise was a balance.

If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?

Get ready, it’s going to be an amazing ride!

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

Global population of 7 billion

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

Being concise while also having a lot to say 🙂

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

a) All of the strategies in the book are practical, time-tested techniques that can be utilized immediately by the reader
b) I defer to the vision of the experts representing each aspect of the publishing process
c) I believe so strongly in the content of the book that it’s easy to speak about it

What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

a) I have a lot to say – and want to be concise 🙂
b) I also have specific ideas around each aspect of the publishing process
c) Because I believe so strongly in the content of the book, I can constantly talk about it

When do you think you will write your next book?

When asked or when I have something important to say that would benefit others

Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?
