Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?
I am from Timmonsville, South Carolina and I reside now in Hartsville, South Carolina
If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?
I came to Hartsville, South Carolina because of a pastoral obligation to the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. During the transition I was a class 3 police officer with the Florence Police Department in Florence, South Carolina.
What made you decide to write and publish your first book?
There was time of marital problems, identity crisis, and ministry failure along with immediate family rejection that triggered a response of what I wanted to say to them and could not, so i begin writing.
How would you describe your books to first time readers?
The readers were not broad in terms of geographical location but family and personal affiliation
Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?
Those who have been sick with cancer, victims of molestation, family rejection and ostracism. in addition to those of domestic violence and cultural influences to understanding.
What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?
I left out a lot of information so there was no conclusion for me in with the chapter of my life. This is the very reason why I am writing the sequel.
If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?
The story is still being written and my life is not over yet.
How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?
Thousands
What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?
Strategically putting the contents of my life i order to make sense.
What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
Grammar can be poor but it is intended in order to make the reader feel a certain energy from which my culture and norm have been.
What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
I have not engaged a wide market as of yet due to the fact of open criticism for which I am not ready to embrace.
When do you think you will write your next book?
I am currently in the process of writing the second book which is a sequel.
Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?
Self published.
