Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?

I was born in Guyana South America . Only English speaking country in South America. I currently live in Ohio.

If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?

Came to America with my parents as a child . Grew up in NYC then moved to Ohio .

What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

I’ve been writing poetry since I was 14 . My wife is the one that spearheaded the publishing of “ Verses Of A Lion “ . I’ve always been shy with my writings but she thought it was something we should share with the world . She enjoys my poetry immensely and is my biggest fan .

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

This is a poetry book to lift your spirits . Make you see the world in a positive light . It’ll let you know that the things you go through in life , you are not alone .

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

Everyone can connect with my poetry . They are simple so that even a young child will feel the verses . The rasta poems will enlighten you and leave you in a positive state of mind . So anyone looking for positivity in their life will enjoy this book .

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

It’s all from deep in my mind , a place I didn’t know existed. So I can say I’ve learned more of what lays deep in the mind of a rasta.

If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?

It’s the journey that allows me to write so I can’t advice I can only continue the journey . The journey of life !

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

As many as I can

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

getting the word out their about my book . If people don’t know about it how can they read it .

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

always stay positive !

Don’t know

When do you think you will write your next book?

I have thousands of poetry ready for another book . It’s up to my wife when she decides . I leave that to her .
