Morning By Morning Pathway to Health

Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?

Born, raised, and residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?

Within a circle with a five mile radius, I was born, grew up, worked, and currently live. Although I’ve traveled extensively for work and leisure, I grew where planted.

What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

It wasn’t so much a decision as an inner awareness that I was to do it. The Bible is not only a love story from God to man, but it is also a practical “how to” guide for everyday living. The designer of our bodies created the perfect food for us and provided a user’s guide, the Bible, to show us how to achieve and maintain health. My joy is to encourage people on their journey to health, to come alongside with the word that sustains the weary, and celebrate steps on the pathway to health. My fervent hope is to encourage others and bring a message of health and service that they may be stronger to serve God longer.

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

Morning By Morning Pathway to Health applies biblical principles to health and shows how a daily commitment and the faithfulness of God can transform your health. It provides a look into health and wellness from a biblical perspective and takes into account the state of the soul as well as the body. It shows how the path to health and well-being is God’s way and vitality can be yours.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

All who seek to apply God’s word to their lives in faith, hope, and love. People looking for a useful resource to help them make positive health and lifestyle changes that will impact their heart and spirit, as well as their body, will find encouragement here.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

Trying to present a complex subject in an easy to understand and engaging manner clarified my own understanding and deepened my commitment to encouraging others that their health journey may be blessed, and they can achieve the optimal level of health that their body is capable of expressing.

If you could, what advice would you give to past self yourself before embarking on this journey?

Just begin. Trust that God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. Listen to your heart and, in faith, go where He leads.

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

All who are willing to explore a conceptual framework that describes a biblical approach to health and provides steps, strategies, guidelines, and supporting scriptures.

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

Marketing.

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

My strength is writing that embraces both the physical and spiritual aspects of health by offering timely scientific information alongside relevant scriptures in a light-hearted and easily understood approach to how vitality can be yours.

What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

Marketing is my weakness. Although I understand marketing principles in the abstract, when it comes to promoting my work, I prefer to stay in the background and let the book speak for itself.

When do you think you will you write your next book?

It’s in my heart now and urging me to begin.

Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?

I’m thankful to my hybrid publisher for conducting a theological review of my book and for their gracious help in bringing it to print.
