Interview with Trinity Blacio

Author of Tobie

Tobie

Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?

I have lived all over. But I was born in Lorain County, Ohio and I now live in Lorain, County, Ohio.

If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?

My mother’s family is from this area, we moved back here to be close to them.

What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

My mom was the first one that encouraged me to try. I did a lot of writing for articles for the Newspapers, letter to the editors, genealogy publications and such. So, I gave it a try.

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

My stories have a tendency to be very fast-paced right from the start and I sometimes do not hold to one genre. I have one series, Running in Fear, that is science fiction, paranormal, fantasy all rolled into one.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

Anyone who enjoys paranormal, science fiction romance with a steamy touch to it.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

The publishing industry can be just like High School. You have setbacks and you have good days. Just never give up and learn to ignore those who always seem to hate, because they are out there.

If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?

If you want to write do it. Ask questions, no matter what genre you are going to write in there is always someone that will help you. Do not let anyone discourage you.

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

As many as possible. My goal to reach the top 100 one day, but I will always write it keeps my mind from wondering.

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

Promotion, getting my stories out there for people to see. With over 100 stories to date, I have a number of different genres that people could choose from.

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

My strengths are my writing, the ideas are always there. I have about thirty partial stories waiting to be finished. I’m okay with some marketing, but don’t have the right money to go where I want to.

What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

My biggest weakness is editing-the publishing part. With my handicaps, it can get frustrating, but this is why I have others to help me.

When do you think you will write your next book?

I’m always writing. Right now I have four stories going at once.

Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?

I am a hybrid author. I am self-published and have a few publishers.
