Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?

I live in Houston, Texas. I am native Texan. I was born in San Antonio and left for Houston at the age of two with my family.

If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?

My family moved to Houston.

What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

I wanted to help others and share my personal journey.

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

My first book was my personal journey as a step parent to a special needs step son and our journey over 32 years.
My other books are leadership and career development. My second book is for experience leaders who want to take leadership to the next level. My third book is for managers and employees in the work place on how to be seen and contribute so they can be promoted. My 4th book is a companion guide for the 3rd book. My 5th book is Paving Your Path What is Next for High School Graduates so they can manifest their destiny with support from a mentor.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

High school students and school professionals for Paving Your Path. Books 2,3 and 4 for working professionals.
Book 1 for families with special needs children or adults.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

I found I love contributing in this way.

If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?

I believe I could have tried writing earlier but at the time I was not ready nor did I have a growth mindset when it came to writing.

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

As many as possible to we can change the future in a positive way to benefit everyone.

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

The process is simply learning what you do not know and you get stronger with every book.

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

Participating in Tom Bird’s writing retreats.
Working with Gagan Sarkaria with Unfold Your Success for publishing.
Working with Denise Cassino on PR-I have done the marketing on my behalf.

What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

Probably marketing

When do you think you will write your next book?

2020

Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?

Self published through Sojourn Publishing and Unfold Your Success publishing
