Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?
Originally From Bridgeport CT. USA now love in Oxford, CT.
If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?
Moved away from an urban area to a more rural setting once married to raise our family.
What made you decide to write and publish your first book?
I wanted to capture my life long experiences in sports and the life lessons I learned along the way. I wanted to pass those lessons and memories on to a multi generational audience.
How would you describe your books to first time readers?
Once a Fan explores the memories and lessons learned of what sports was, whats it is now and what it could be again
Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?
An over 40 audience who still can relate to the stories, the lessons and the reasons to why they are important.
What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?
Working with the publisher for the first time taught be that I didn’t need four examples or stories to make my point, All I needed was one if I made it relevant and interesting to the general reader.
If you could, what advice would you give to past self yourself before embarking on this journey?
Have a more complete vision of the whole concept or message before beginning. M first book developed as I was writing it.
How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?
Parents and anyone working with, coaching or teaching children and young adults.
What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?
Finding the time to write while working full time and raising a family.
What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
I developed a clear visual line of communication with my editor and marketing representative during the creative process.
What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
I had know idea of the editorial and publishing process when I first started , it became trial and error. I think a second book would be a smoother process.
When do you think you will you write your next book?
Within the next two years when I am officially retired.
Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?
I sued I UNiverse Publishing
