Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland and now live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?
I came down to South Carolina to attend Coastal Carolina University and play basketball while studying psychology.
What made you decide to write and publish your first book?
I’ve always loved writing since I was young. I’ve dreamed of writing and speaking. I was finally able to get all of my ideas together for this particular book.
How would you describe your books to first time readers?
Personal development with a mix of faith, real life stories, and strategies to improve life.
Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?
Anyone who has a desire to learn more about themselves and relationships. Anyone with a desire to maximize the life they’ve been given.
What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?
I did not expect how tedious the editing process could be, but it was good all the same.
If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?
Just do it. Write more. Don’t look for perfection. Just write.
How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?
As many as can be inspired to learn from it.
What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?
Just learning how to promote the book.
What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
I believe writing and communicating my ideas is a strength.
What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?
Currently, marketing is the glaring weakness.
When do you think you will write your next book?
I have another manuscript complete. Just learning the ropes with my first book then I’ll get set to publish it next year.
Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?
Hybrid publisher.
