Interview with Laura Pryor
Author of Chloe’s March
Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?
I was born and raised in Springfield, IL
I reside in Staunton, IL
If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?
My girlfriend and I met online in 2003, we fell in love. In 2005, I was working in retail. I was working in Springfield and living in Staunton. An opportunity to end the two hour commute each day came, and I relocated to a store closer to home. My health was waning from the long commute and stress from the drive. I didn’t second guess the offer. Eventually, I ended up leaving retail and working in a technology company based out of St. Louis.
What made you decide to write and publish your first book?
Writing is my outlet. I have written other manuscripts, however Chloe’s March is my first submitted manuscript. I chose Chloe’s March as my first submission because even
in today’s world and the advancement of equal rights, we still struggle with shame,
isolation and hatred. Chloe’s March is not about politics or changing the world, it
is about one person’s truth and willingness to fall her heart. At the end of the day,
we are who we are. Regardless of how a person identifies, you should love and be loved as you choose.
How would you describe your books to first time readers?
Chloe’s March is a personal journey for the main character, Chloe Conners. She is living the perfect world everyone wants for and expects of her. She carries the burden of events that happened when she was 18. Though the world sees a 26 year old woman with the world at her feet, in the mirror she sees the something her heart is unwilling to let go.
Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?
Everyone can relate to the topics and characters in Chloe’s March.

Follow your dreams and passion.
How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?
