Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?

I am originally from queens NY and I reside in Long Island Valleystream NY.

If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?

I actually do not live far from where I was actually born at. I love the school district and the area I live at now for my boys.

What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

I always wanted to write as a young girl when I was pregnant at an early age. But what really pushed me to really write is when I lost my son’s father. I was loosing my mind. I tried the whole thing speaking to an therapist but honestly was not for me. Writing was my Therapy and I better express feelings through writing.

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

I want to speak to young adults. I was pregnant at the age of 15. But I did not let that stop me from finishing school, working and being a young parent . Now I have 3 wonderful young boys. I also lost my eldest son’s father which was the hardest time ever well it still is. The reason why I wrote a book about my life is because I know there’s a lot of young adult who feels like there are alone with no help. And that they cannot do it in life or achieve any goals because they are young parents. Anything is possible once you put your mind to it. I am a full time mommy, full time medical assistant , part time student, hairstylist, author and etc you name it I am all. I know my story will help another one out there. Everyone needs a push.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

Young adults , young mothers , parents and single parents. Who knows parent or not someone out their might have been through what I been through with not even being a parent. But it is not just about kids , it is also about relationships, friends and etc.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

The unexpected thing I’ve learned is that , even if you are paying to get your book published and have a a lot of people on your team that is working with. You’re still working and doing everything yourself. What I mean by that is, you still have to read over everything to make sure it looks good and sounds good. It was stressful getting my book published. Surprising things I learned is with a lot of research you could honestly publish your book on your own. Yes it will be stressful but once you read and ask questions you will definitely understand each steps and how to do it.

If you could, what advice would you give to your past self before embarking on this journey?

I wish I would of pushed forward with writing in the past instead of waiting so long to really take writing so serious now. So many things I could’ve done when I was a lot younger. I was to busy enjoying myself and being selfish to myself. As I continue to grow I continue to write.

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

I want to reach everyone’s attention. All over the world . I want to become the beat top seller.

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

My biggest challenge was getting my book finished within a 3 months period. Being a mother to 3 wonderful boys , working full time , going to school part time. Did not think I could do it but I did. Frustration was not sleeping some nights. Didn’t really have a date life.

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

My biggest strengths when it comes to book is writing. I can write my life away. When I’m stressed , sad , you name it I can write. I normally write more when I am sad , hurt.

What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

My biggest weakness when it comes to book is marketing because I do not know where to go how to get my book out there. What I need to do .

When do you think you will write your next book?

When I push my first book out there enough where everyone or some people know of me , I will start finishing up my next book. I started but did not finish. So many things have happened from the time I release my book which was in June of this year till now.

Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?

I was working with a published company but I was ripped off a lot. Every week I was switched to a different staff , different editor and etc. my book started of great to messed up, because so many people was doing something to it. After all of that I spoke to a couple of people who put me back on track on to self publishing my book on Amazon KPD.
